Description

Mama’s Milk – Breastfeeding Herbal Tea is full of nourishing herbs to support or build a plentiful milk supply.  Ideal for mums returning to work, or if you can’t keep up with baby’s demands.  Formulated by a naturopath, this herbal blend may also calm a windy or colicky baby.

Breastfeeding supportive herbs are called galactagogues (ga-lact-a-gogs). They work by boosting the milk supply in the mother.

Birth Ready – Late Pregnancy Herbal Tea Contains:

Alfalfa, Blessed Thistle, Caraway, Fennel, Fenugreek, Goats Rue, Moringa, and Nettle

100% Australian Certified Organic

Birth Ready – Late Pregnancy Herbal Tea Directions

For optimal effects, drink/sip regularly 3 – 5 cups throughout the day. Can be served warm or cold.

Suitable from Day 1 after the birth and at any stage during your breastfeeding journey.

Mama’s Milk – Breastfeeding Herbal Tea is ideal if you have had supply issues with a previous baby, or if you will be having, or have had a period of separation from your baby after the birth e.g. caesarean birth, baby in special care nursery and/or mum in adult special care. It can also be used when a mum is needing to express on a regular basis e.g returning back to work. Also recommended for those mothers who feel their supply cannot quite keep up with their babies needs!

Please note although this blend contains Peppermint (thought by some to reduce milk supply) the quantity is very low being one of seven herbs. Its addition to the tea is mainly for enhanced palatability. No reduction to milk supply has been reported by mothers using Mama’s Milk.

How Many Packets Should I Order?

100g of Mama’s Milk – Breastfeeding Herbal Tea will make  about 40 cups.  For the full benefit of the medicinal herbs, it is recommended you drink 3-5 cups each day, so 100g will last you about 8-14 days.

How to Make your Herbal Tea

To get the maximum benefit from your herbal tea, you need to steep it for as long as possible, enabling the therapeutic benefits to be extracted from the herbs.  Some mums like to make a large batch to sip on throughout the day.  You can drink it warm or cooled, and may want a thermos to keep it warm.  You can add a little honey or lemon if you wish.
