Clary Sage Essential Oil from Doterra is known for its calming properties and benefits to the skin. Clary Sage is one of the most relaxing, soothing, and balancing essential oils. In the Middle Ages, the Clary Sage plant was frequently used to soothe skin. Inhaling Clary Sage promotes feelings of relaxation, allowing for a restful night’s sleep.
Nicknamed “clear eyes”, Clary Sage was famous in the Middle Ages for its ability to clear eye problems. It was also widely used for female issues, kidney/digestive/skin disorders, inflammation, sore throats and wounds.
Using Clary Sage during Labour
It can be helpful to apply 3 drops of Clary Sage essential lil from Doterra around ankles or on abdomen during labour (may combine with fennel). Can apply 1-2 drops on hips, bottoms of feet or abdomen, or add to a carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil / jojoba oil or sweet almond oil) and massage. Clary Sage essential oil from Doterra can be diffused into the air, inhaled directly from the bottle or applied to a tissue for inhalation.

- During your menstrual cycle, rub three to five drops on the abdomen for a soothing massage.
- Combine with Roman Chamomile and add to bath water for a stress-relieving bath.
- Diffuse or apply to pillow at night for a restful sleep.
- Add to shampoo or hair conditioner to promote healthy hair and scalp.

Directions for Use of Doterra Clary Sage Essential Oil
Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
